The In2Care® mosquito station is an ingenious solution to target and reduce the populations of Aedes mosquitoes, which are responsible for transmitting numerous illnesses such as dengue fever, chikungunya, and Zika.
In2Care’s® revolutionary containment system has been developed to specifically target and reduce the population of mosquitoes in outdoor areas. This robust and highly effective device utilizes an attractant combined with a powerful control agent to bait and trap the mosquitoes in the station and reduce their population.
The Mosquito Attractant is a carefully crafted attractant that mimics the olfactory cues of mosquito breeding sites such as standing water sources, enticing female Aedes mosquitoes to the station.
The Mosquito Control Agent includes strips of gauze coated with Pyriproxyfen, a slow-acting larvicide within the station. When female mosquitoes come into contact with it, the larvicide sticks to their legs and bodies, thus transferring it to other breeding areas. In doing so, it kills mosquito larvae and pupae in the water.
These mosquito traps are an innovative solution to curbing the spread of disease-carrying mosquito populations by targeting mosquitoes in their early life stages. It is an environmentally responsible approach and complementary tool in mosquito control strategies.
